Road accidents

Sir,
This has reference to the news item ‘One killed, 12 injured in road accidents ‘DE May `16.
Road accidents continue unabatedly  in our State. Not a single day passes, when one or two road accidents do not take place in the State. Every year a good number of people lose their lives in violent accidents. The reason behind such accidents is the man on wheels and our insensitivity towards human loss.
Most of the time people blame the concerned authorities like Traffic Department for such accidents, but do not turn gaze towards themselves. Blaming others is easy, but reforming oneself is quite difficult. It people adhere to rules and regulations, take safety and preventive measures while driving, a number of precious lives could be saved. What one witnesses on roads is impatience on part of drivers. They somehow want to be ahead of other motorists. Overtaking, rash driving, law remarks and  honking have now become a part of our driving vocabularly unless we overcome this tendency accidents will continue to take place.
Yours etc…..
