Teachers celebrate ‘Kartavya Bodh Divas’

REASI, Jan 28: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation under the banner of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Udhampur unit celebrated ‘Kartavya Bodh Divas’ at different zones of district Udhampur.
In this regard different programmes were held in Chenani, Ramnagar, Jib, Ghordi, Dudu, Tikri, Kulwanta zones etc.
The programme started by lighting of the traditional lamp and flowering the portrait of Saraswati Mata, Bharat Mata, Swami Vivekananda and Neta Ji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Khem Raj, Federation District President Udhampur said the main purpose to celebrate Kartavya Bodh Divas is not only to aware the teachers but also to aware the whole society about their duties and responsibilities towards students, education and nation.
He said they are working tirelessly to address the grievances of teachers.
Dr Raj also said: “Due to our values, culture and tradition, India was called Vishav Guru.”
“In ancient Indian society adored Guru as Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh but today this status of Guru has fallen due to the British and other outside invaders under a well planned conspiracy,” he maintained.
