JAMMU, Jan 29: On National Cleanliness Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) here today presented musical concert ‘Swatchhta’ in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity.
Among guests of honour were J.K Raina, Freelance Producer-Director; Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department and Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Directorate of Health.
The programme commenced with songs by renowned artists of J&K.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said, it is the duty of all to keep the environment clean.
“This responsibility for environmental cleanliness is highlighted by observing National Cleanliness Day on January 30 in India,” he maintained adding that the day calls to maintain high standards of cleanliness at home, work place, roads-streets and at public places.
The concert was directed by M.L Dogra, BLSKS chairman and music of the concert was composed by M.C Kotwal, general secretary BLSKS.
Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra said, cleanliness is not just limited to building infrastructure but is also aimed at bringing about behavioral change.
The artists and students of music and computer institute who participated in the concert were Usha Handoo, K.K Joshi, M.C Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Sudesh Pummy, Gouri Lal, Richu and others.
