Army organises basic computer course

GUL, RAMBAN, May 18: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of Reasi based Rashtriya Rifles Force had organised a three week computer basic and hardware course, which concluded, here today.
A total of 8 youth from the remote villages of Gul area were school students and belonged to poor families.  The course curriculum included, training on Microsoft Office and repair of computer hardware.
Commanding Officer, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, Gul, gave away certificates to the youth who successfully completed the course.  Addressing the youth, he said that the Army has provided them an impetus by making them undergo this course and seeing the interest, the duration of next computer course will be increased to six weeks.
The course has provided the students the capability to take up employment as computer operators or open a Cyber Café at Gul.   He assured that all assistance will be provided by the Army in this regard.
The students, their parents and faculty of the local Government and Private Schools expressed keen interest in the intricate nuances of this pilot project undertaken by the Army.  The course promises to give much needed push to the ever growing aspirations and needs of the locals to join the main stream and take up respectable jobs.
