Kashmir Division Open Selection Chess Tournament concludes

JAMMU, May 19: Kashmir Division Open State Selection Chess Tournament concluded at Hotel Jawahar, Lal Mandi, here today.
Players from the four districts of the division including Srinagar, Budgam, Pulwama and Kupwara participated in it.
According to Baldev Raj, secretary All J&K Chess Association, top two players from this tournament and top two from Jammu division will represent J&K State in forthcoming Nationals.
Nushat Gazala, manager Polo Ground and Reyaz Ahmed Khan, organizing secretary of the tournament distributed prizes among the winners, while Atul Kumar Gupta, president All J&K Chess Association and Baldev Raj were also present on the occasion.
Ajit Singh and Adil Ashraf were arbiters of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the top six players of the tournament included Mehboob-Ul-Hassan, Jibran Malik, Mohib Yaseen, Waseem Khan, Junaid Yousuf and Owais Shafi Wani.
