JAMMU, May 20: Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla today said that the Government was endeavouring hard to develop all the areas of the State with modern and need based infrastructural facilities, adding that in this regard all the departments are working in a more organized manner for ensuring better services to the people.
This was stated by the Minister while addressing a gathering after dedicating Sulabh International Social Service Organisation to Sanjay Nagar people, here today.
Mr. Bhalla asked the Sulabh International Social Organisation to provide hygienic services to the people and maintain these regularly for the convenience of general masses.
Lauding the role of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), the Minister said that the Corporation was making best possible efforts to maintain cleanliness in the City of Temples and keep the lanes, drains in various localities in good condition. He called upon the people to protect public property in their respective areas, adding that these assets are meant for their convenience and need to be protected.
Mr. Bhalla said Government was making all out efforts to provide all basic amenities to the people across the State. He said in this regard UPA Government led by Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh was providing liberal funding under developmental sectors which has greatly helped in raising the socio-economic standards of the people of the State. The Minister said many more projects were in pipeline to develop both the urban and rural pockets with all modern line basic amenities.
Laying stress on maintaining quality standards, Mr. Bhalla asked the officers to conduct regular inspections of the under execution works to keep a check on quality of material being used on public assets.
