Ganderbal, May 21: Government College of Physical Education, Ganderbal today held Annual Road Race for boys and girls from Dangarpora via Kheerbhawani Tullamulla Ganderbal to college campus today.
40 girls and 100 boys participated in the race. The race was flagged off by the Principal Dr Hartej Singh along with other faculty members.
The event ended in stiff competition posed by the young and energetic athletes to their rival athletes and finally in girls category Huumera Sofi, Qurat ul Rashid, Rozya Akhter bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively, while as in boys category Irfan Ahmad, Mudasir Ahmad and Abid Ameen bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
The chief guest Col. Prateek Prashar commanding officer 5 RR Bn (Jat) Ganderbal and Principal Dr. Hartej Singh distributed the prizes among winners of the race.
