UDHAMPUR, Feb 11: Vollleyball Championship got underway at Government Model Higher Secondary School Boys, here today.
On day of the tournament, two quarter final matches were played. First match was played between Udhampur Volleyball Club and Govt Higher Secondary School, Tikri wherein former defeated the later by 2-0 (25-15 and 25-21) sets, whereas in 2nd match City Volleyball Club trounced Rowndomail Club by 2-0 (25-21 & 25-19) sets.
Sunil Sharma, Principal of the institution was the chief guest of today session. He distributed refreshment among all participants, while the matches were officiated by Sanjay Sharma (PEM), Kuldeep Sharma (PEM), Manik Nargotra and Sanjeev Verma.
The matches were played under the technical supervision of Haim Raj (Phy Education Lecturer) and Amit Sharma (PET).
Prominent among those who were present include Ashok Padha (National Volleyball Player), Deepak Sharma (National Volleyball Player), Pawan Kumar Sharma (Lecturer Mathematics GHSS Garhi) and Pawan Kumar (Lecturer Physics GHSS Barolla).
