JAMMU, Feb12: Technical Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA), Atul Pangotra chaired a meeting of the qualified technical officials of the Association, here today.
During the meeting, the Technical Director discussed the modalities to make the penal aware of the existing competition rules and stressed on the need to hold frequent technical sessions to upgrade their knowledge.
The technical officials who came from Jammu district suggested for holding technical sessions at the District level on regular basis, so that they can guide the talented youth in right perspective.
“The technical side of a game is very important and the officials who conduct the competitions at the District and UT level need to be updated with the changing norms and guidelines from the international body of the Taekwondo,” Atul said.
Meanwhile, the JKTA also planned to reach out the Physical Education Teachers (PETs) of the DYSS to help them regarding new norms of the international body, so that they can guide students at the grass root level.
The officials also decided to approach Director General YSS to chalk out a plan to involve PETs who were engaged at grass root level for imparting training to budding Taekwondo players.
