JAMMU, Feb 14: Sharika Cricket Club defeated Malang Cricket Club by 16 runs in ongoing Veteran KPL Tournament, being played at KC Sports Ground, here today.
Batting first Sharika CC posed a decent total of 128 runs on board. Sanjay Bajaj played a good knock of 67 runs in just 53 balls and Chandji contributed 37 runs for their team. From bowling side, Chander and Anil Bhan took two wickets, while Satish took one wicket.
In reply, the bowlers of Sharika Cricket Club bowled on a tight line and length and restricted MCC to 112 runs in 20 overs and clinched the match with nine wickets. Captain Rohit Handoo and Sanjay Pandita took three wickets each while Vivek & Sunil Jalla took one wicket a piece for Sharika CC.
Sanjay 38 and Manoj 28 were the main contributors with bat for MCC.
