JAMMU, May 22: The Management of ASN HigherSecondary School, Channi Himmat, organized 2-days Inter-School Sports Meet at Armed Police Complex, Channi Himmat, here today.
Johny William, DIG Armed Police, Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Amjad Parvez Mirza, Commandant JKAP 4th BN, Dr Javed Khateeb, Joint Secretary (Secrecy) J&K BOSE and AK Kapoor, Chairman Adarsh Educational Trust were the guests of honour.
7 schools participated in this Sports Meet which was held in the disciplines of kho-kho, badminton and athletics. The participating schools included ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Sainik Colony, Jammu Public School, Sainik Colony, Adarsh Shiksha Niketan, Resham Ghar Colony, United Public School, Channi Himmat, Tawishi Scholars School, Trikuta Nagar and DCM Public School, Akhnoor Road.
Ritesh Kapoor was the chief organizer of the event.
The teams which reached finals in cricket included ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat and Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School, Sainik Colony, while in kho-kho finalists included ASN Channi Himmat and Jammu Public School, Sainik Colony.
In badminton doubles, semifinals lineup was cleared with ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, Tiny Tots Hr Secondary School, Sainik Colony, Jammu Public School, Sainik Colony and ASN School, Channi Himmat.
The finalists in 100 mtrs boys sprint included Arsh, Gulzar, Rajat, Wissar, Shakib and Sahil, while in 100 mtrs girls Damini, Rinku, Janvi, Himanshi, Shivali, Bharati and Sakshi made it to the finals.
Umesh Sharma, Ragubir, Gurjesh Singh, Nitin, Shahjahan, Rishab, Rajvir, Abhishek and Jayakaran made it to 200 mtrs boys finals, while Sahima, Janvi and Rukhsar will compete for finals in 200 mtrs girls.
