JAMMU, Feb 18: Government of Jammu and Kashmir today accorded sanction to the constitution of UT level and district level monitoring committees for implementation of Prime Minister Street Vendors Atamnirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme in the Union Territory.
According to the order, the UT level monitoring committee will be chaired by Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department while as Commissioner /Secretary Labour and Employment Department, Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Department, Director General Budget, Chairman/MD J&K Bank or its representative (not below the rank of Executive Director) shall be its members.
In addition to this, UT Mission Director DAY-NULM and one representative each of Social Welfare Department and Health and Medical Education Department (not below the rank of Additional Secretary) will also be members of the UT level committee.
As per the order, the Deputy Commissioners concerned will be the chairpersons of the District level monitoring committees whereas Additional District Development Commissioners, Commissioners Municipal Corporations/ Chief Executive Officers/ Executive Officers of Municipal Councils/ Committees, Chief Education Officers, Chief Medical Officers, District Social Welfare Officers, Assistant Directors, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Officer and Lead Bank Managers will be its members.
“The monitoring committees shall co-opt Nodal Officers of the concerned Central Ministries/ Depar-tments or any other officer of the UT as required,” the order stated.
