LeM chief’s associate arrested from Bihar

JAMMU, Feb 20: Police have arrested an associate of Lashkar-e-Mustafa (LeM) chief Hidayatullah Malik from Chapra area of Bihar, who was reportedly supplying arms to the militants.
Arrested associate of Malik has been identified as Javaid Alam Ansari son of Mahfooz Alam Ansari, a resident of Deobahuara in Chapra district of Bihar.
Arrest was made by a Jammu Police team with the help of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) Patna.
Malik during his questioning had disclosed that Lashkar-e-Mustafa outfit had been supplied seven pistols from Chapra, Bihar so far.
On the basis of disclosures, police conducted raids at Chapra and with the help of ATS Patna nabbed Javaid Alam Ansari, who was instrumental in supplying the pistols to the Kashmir militants.
Police have already registered case FIR No. 16/2021 at Police Station Gangyal where Malik was arrested recently.
Further investigation of the case is on and some more arrests are expected.
