JAMMU, Feb 22: Cautioning people against exploitive politics being shamelessly pursued by Kashmir centric parties, former Minister and senior BJP leader, Bali Bhagat lambasted Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti and took them to task for advocating dialogue with Pakistan.
“It is known to the whole universe that Pakistan is a terrorist country responsible for death of thousands of civilians and security force personnel in J&K and those advocating dialogue with the same country are insulting these martyrs”, Bhagat said in a statement.
The former Minister observed that Pakistan is solely response for bloodshed and destruction in J&K and suggested both the former Chief Ministers to start a movement against Pakistan to save future generations of the Valley from the menace of terrorism, even as he accused them for instigating the Kashmiri youth with their irresponsible and irrelevant statements.
“NC president, Farooq Abdullah and PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti are again attempting to carry forward their anti-national agenda in the Union Territory by advocating dialogue with Pakistan. It amuses me to see their undying love for Pakistan, even when both of these leaders have seen as the chief ministers, the destruction and devastation caused in Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan,” Bhagat said.
“Pakistan is a terrorist country which sponsors and exports terrorists in J&K. Pakistan is responsible for killing of thousands of civilians and security force personnel in J&K for the past three decades. How can one speak of having a dialogue with a country which has killed generations of Kashmiris,” Bhagat asked?
He questioned if Abdullah and Mufti have ever spoken against Pakistan. “They both have remained Chief Ministers. Tell me one instance, when these leaders have come out to protest against Pakistan or terrorism which has ended generations of Kashmiris since 1990s. They choose to close their eyes and often blame India, besides instigating youth of Valley with their irresponsible and irrelevant statements,” he said.
Bhagat suggested both Abdullah and Mufti should start a movement against terrorism. “If you love India and have real sympathy with Kashmiri youth, come out and condemn terrorism and strictly oppose Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism in our country.
