JAMMU, May 24: In a petition filed by residents of Jagti Township Nagrota (Kashmiri Migrants Colony) seeking direction to respondents to utilized SRE (Security Related Expenditures) provided by the Union Government towards adjustment of electricity bills of the petitioners, High Court today issued notice to Chief Secretary, Relief Commissioner, Commissioner Secretary PDD and Chief Engineer PDD returnable within three weeks.
After hearing Advocate Anil Sethi appearing for the petitioners, Justice Tashi Rabstan issued notice to the respondents. In the meanwhile subject to objections from the other side and till next date of hearing, the respondents were directed not to recover the electricity charges.
The petitioners have been seeking direction to respondents to provide uninterrupted electricity supply to Jagti Township.
