JAMMU, Feb 24: The Government today announced that Local Filters will become operational on Government e-Marketing (GeM) from tomorrow, which is one of the important components of Jammu and Kashmir Economic Package announced recently for promotion and giving a determined push to the growth of local entrepreneurship.
“Local Filters & MSME Filters can be used together for procurements made up to Rs five lakh from local manufacturers. For purchases above Rs five lakh, additional terms and conditions can be used by the Departments for restricting procurement within a geographical limit through process of bidding on GeM,” the Office of Lieutenant Governor J&K tweeted tonight.
It said this will give big boost to J&K’s local businesses and industries and enable the Government departments to procure Goods and Services from local manufacturers.
