KATRA, May 24: Delhi Public School, SMVDU, Katra held its Investiture Ceremony in the school premises, here today.
The Programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the School Principal, R K Verma along with the Incharge of houses and teachers.
The badges were presented to the newly elected House captains, Sports captains and Cultural secretary, which was followed by the oath taking ceremony.
The names of the school Head girl, Shriya Gupta and school head boy, Aniate Goswami were also announced.
The School Principal also spoke on the occasion and encouraged the student to take part in sports and uphold the value of honesty, loyalty and integrity as vital qualities for a true sports person. The programme ended with the national Anthem.
Meanwhile, the Ganga House included Tanvir Ahmed as Captain, Vakul Sharma as Sports Captain and Muskan Adhlakha as Cultural Secretary. The Yamuna House included Dhanan Parmar as Captain, Awin Bhagat as Sports Captain and Rhydham Sharma as Cultural Secretary. The Jhelum House comprised of Akhil Sharma as Captain, Manas Mehra as Sports Captain and Supriya Sharma as Cultural Secretary, while the Chenab House has Kulvinder Singh as Captain, Anshuman Partap Singh as Sports Captain and Shriya Heera as Cultural Secretary.
