REASI, May 25: Punjab Wrestler Jagroop clinched the “75th Annual Reasi Kambal Danga Mari Kesari Dangal title 2013 by defeating wrestler Major of Ludhiana in the first main bout that lasted for 14 minutes at Kambal Danga, here today.
The event was organized by Jai Peer Baba Dangal Committee MARI (Kambal Danga) Reasi in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, under the overall supervision of its president Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch Maheshwar Singh and Advocate Pawan Dev Singh (chief organizer).
Wrestler Jagroop was awarded with handsome cash prize of Rs 6,500, while cash prize of Rs 4,500 was given to runners-up wrestler Major.
Total 74 bouts were played in the one day long Vishal Dangal. The second main bout was won by Sukha of Rajasthan who defeated Bagga of Amritsar. Rs 4,500was awarded to Sukha while Rs 3,500 was awarded to Bagga. The third bout was won by Sagar of Delhi who defeated Mohd Jakker of Bishnah. Rs 4,000 was awarded to Sagar while Rs 3,000 was awarded to Bagga.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Nawab Din was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prize among the wrestlers.
