JAMMU, Mar 5: J&K Police-XI defeated DFA Kathua, SCFA-XI trounced DFA Rajouri, whereas NGR FC beat City FC by 6-0 goals, 2-1 goals and 3-0 goals respectively in the ongoing Annual Football Championship, being played at GGM Science College Ground here today.
The first match was played between J&K Police and DFA Kathua wherein former dominated the latter and registered convincing win by 6-0 goals, whereas the second match was played between DFA Rajouri and SCFA XI. The Rajouri boys dominated the show in the first half of the game and scored single goal, while in the second half of the game, the SCFA netted two goals and defeated their opponents by 2 -1 goals.
In the third match, NGR FC beat City FC by 3-0 goals.
David Masih, former veteran footballer was the chief guest on the occasion, whereas ZA Thakur, president JKFA, Narinder Gupta (former member Sports Council), Yousuf Don, Kamaljeet, Shafi Nari Fayaz Sofi, Bilal Panjabi and Prof BA Shah were also present during the matches.
