KCC, APCC outplay opponents, advance to next stage

DODA, May 26: Karnataka Cricket Club (KCC) and Andhra Pardesh Cricket Club (APCC) outplayed their opponents and advanced to the next stage of the ongoing All India 9th Gufran Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship, being organised by Young Star Cricket Club at sports stadium here.
The first match was played between Karnatka Cricket Club (KCC) and Uttar Pardesh Cricket Club (UPCC) in which former registered victory by 3 runs in a nail biting match.
Batting first after winning the toss, KCC scored a total of 118 runs for all out in stipulated 20 overs. Ravi Chandra was the highest scorer with 21 runs, while Suresh contributed 20 runs for his team.
For UPCC side, Shahid was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, while Aakash claimed one wicket.
In reply, UPCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at 115 runs by losing all wickets. Aamir was the top scorer with 33 runs, while Shahid made 23 runs.
For KCC side, Ravi Chanda and Naresh scalped 2 and one wicket each.
Ravi Chanda of KCC was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
The second match was played between Ghazaibad Cricket Club (GCC) and Andhra Pardesh Cricket Club (APCC), in which latter emerged winner by 6 wickets.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, GCC scored a total of 120 runs for all out in 20 overs. Akshay was the top scorer with 34 runs, while Nazim Saifi contributed 28 runs.
For APCC side, Mahesh was the wrecker-in-chief, who scalped 4 wickets, while Subhramanyam took 1 wicket.
In the second inning, APCC chased the target by loosing 4 wickets. Subhra Manyam was the highest scorer who scored 50 runs followed by Chaitanya who contributed 47 runs for his team.
FOR GCC side, Akshay and Nazim scalped 2 and 1 wickets each.
Subhra Manyam of APCC was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Dharmesh Bhardwaj and Sanjay Singh, while Rinku Badoria maintained the scoreboard.
