KATHUA, May 26: Two persons died while three were injured two of them seriously in two separate road mishaps at Diyansar near Vijaypur and Sheetal Nagar in Basholi today.
As per reports a Santro car bearing number JK05A 5202 which was parked on road side at Diyansar was hit by a speedy truck bearing number HR 37 D 5783 from back side. The car was on its way to Jammu from Pathankote and it was parked by the driver to make some purchases at Diyansar.
Among the five members traveling in the car two were injured seriously. They were taken to Vijaypur Hospital where from they were referred to GMC Jammu. The one seriously injured however died on reaching to hospital while another is battling for his life.
The Vijaypur police has registered a case.
In another incident a motor cycle was hit by a tempo at village Sheetal Nagar near Basholi today resulting in the on spot death of the motor cyclist identified as Salim Ahmed, son of Sher Mohammed of Sheetal Nagar and injuries to two pillion riders Gulshan and Tilak Raj. Gulshan with serious injuries was referred to GMC Jammu for treatment while Tilak Raj has been admitted in Basholi Hospital.
The driver of the tempo escaped from the spot. The Basholi Police has registered a case and seized the tempo.
