UPHSS claims U-19 girls tug-of-war title

JAMMU, May 28: Defeating JK Police Public School Miran Sahib by two sets to nil (2-0) in the summit clash, Unique Public Higher Secondary School Gadi Garh claimed the Under-19 girls title trophy in the District Level Inter-School Tug of War Tournament, here today.
Earlier, Guru Harkrishan Public School bagged Under-19 and Under-17 boys titles by defeating Unique Public School Gadi Garh, while in Under-17 girls final, Guru Harkrishan Public School again emerged winner by defeating the same opponent.
Later, chief guest Sidharth Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council and  Rajesh Sharma, Chairman J&K Cooperative Union and Executive Member All India Cooperative Union distributed trophies and certificates among the winners  and runner-up teams.
Those present on the concluding function were Hardeep Singh Anand, president, Jammu and Kashmir Tug of War Association, Kuldeep Gupta, treasurer J&K Olympic Association, Sukh Versha Mehta, Principal Guru Harkrishan, Public School, Jasvir Singh, Chairman Unique Public HSS, Gadi Garh, Jodh Singh Isher, Joint Secretary, Kiran Raina, Principal, JK Police Public Miran Sahib, Ajay Peshin, Ravinder Singh Sasan, General Secretary, J&K Tug-of-War Association.
