JAMMU, May 28: District Jammu will face District Kathua in the summit clash of the Divisional Level inter-District Under-14 Boys Football Tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at GGM Science College Football Ground, here.
Earlier, in Kathua defeated Ramban by two goals to nil (2-0) in an easy contest. Ujwal was the star performer who scored both the goals.
In the first semifinal, Jammu drubbed Udhampur by (2-0) goals to seal berth in the finals. Aeyan and Dipansh scored one goal each for Jammu. In another semifinal, Kathua trounced Poonch by two goals to nil (2-0). Ujwal and Manik scored one goal each for the winners.
Meanwhile in football Under-17 boys, Kathua beat Doda by a solitary, wherein Rustam Mahajan was the goal scorer.
Samba trounced Kishtwar by (2-0) in another match, with Himanshu and Varun being the goal scorers.
In other football Under-17 matches, Jammu defeated Rajouri, Udhampur outplayed Ramban and Kathua defeated Poonch. For Udhampur, Amitosh and Lovish scored the goals, while for Kathua, Akash was the goal scorer.
Five districts of Jammu Division are taking part in football Under-14 boys, while all ten district of Jammu province are participating in the football Under-17 boys event.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Ved Parkash, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu.
