JAMMU, Mar 17: Soldier Cricket Club Ladore trounced Datriayal Cricket Club by 54 runs in the ongoing 1st Bharat Rattan Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Open Tournament, being played at Parade Ground, here today.
Batting first, Soldier CC scored 192 runs by losing six wickets. Ajju made 59 runs off 45 balls, whereas Kuljeet scored 49 runs off 37 balls and Ajay contributed 40 runs in 18 balls. From bowling side, Jasmeet took three wickets, Anmol and Parshotum bagged one wicket each.
In reply, Datriayal CC bundled out at 142 runs by losing all wickets in 19.2 overs. Anmol scored 26 runs off 13 balls, whereas Parshotum and Ravi contributed 26 and 23 runs respectively. From bowling side, Ajju and Kulbir got three wickets each while Ajay clinched two wickets. Ajju was awarded with man of the match trophy.
The tournament is being organised by Northern Cricket Club under the supervision of Ashwani Sharma, chairman of the Club.
