JAMMU, Mar 18: J&K UT Junior Kabaddi teams of boys and girls sections today left to participate in 47th Junior National Championship which is scheduled to be held at Suryapet (Hyderabad) from March 22 to 25.
The UT team will participate under the banner of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association and J&K Sports Council.
Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer screened both the teams in the presence of Satish Kumar, Manager MA Stadium, Surinder Mohan, general secretary, Sangram Singh, treasurer, Sanjit Kumar- district secretary, Anil Sharma (coach) and Ajay Gupta (coach).
Anil Gupta, president of J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association distributed sports kits among players.
Boys team: Rajan Singh (Captain),Usman Ali Khan, Akshey Singh, Irfan Ahmad Mir, Ubaid Ahamed, Ridham Raina, Gourav Sharma, Neeraj Singh, Mohd Raffi, Sohit Singh, Vasu Sharma and Amrit Dev Singh, whereas Manik Sharma, NIS Kabaddi (coach) and Sanjay Kumar (manager) accompanied the team.
Girls team: Siya Saini (Captain), Bazeela Maqbool, Safoora Khurshed, Rama Sharma, Sheetal Kumari, Disha Raina, Ruchika Singh, Sonia Katoch, Sonia, Dinakshi, Meenakshi Thakur and Chahat Devi, whereas Nahida Nabi (coach) and Needhi Sharma (manager) were part of the team.
