AMRITSAR, Mar 19: Amritsar Avengers got better of Hyderabad by 39 while Ludhiana defeated Delhi on 2nd day of the ongoing Doctors Premier League, played at Gandhi Ground and Amandeep Cricket Ground respectively, here today.
In first match, Amritsar Avengers won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, the Avengers gave big target of 215 runs in stipulated 20 overs match, whereas their opponent team managed to score 176 runs by losing all wickets. None of the players of Hyderabad team performed well before strong bowling by Avengers and lost the match by 39 runs.
In 2nd match, batting first, Delhi team gave moderate target of 125 runs which was easily chased by the Ludhiana by losing only two wickets and won the match by 8 wickets.
The championship is being organised by IMA and IDA and sponsored by Amandeep Group, Deep Waters and AD Greens whereas eight teams of doctors across the India participated.
