Jammu, May 30: Young Cricket Club defeated Satwari Cantt Cricket Club by 21 runs today in “Salute and Tribute to the Players” Cricket Tournament which is being played at Parade Ground, here.
The Tournament is being organized by Parade Sports Association, Jammu.
Batting first, Young Cricket Club scored 143 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Mukul scored 62 runs in 45 balls with 7 boundaries, while Ajeet Singh contributed 20 runs and Abhishek chipped in with 18 runs. Gagan, Hardeep and Bansi of Satwari Cantt. Cricket Club took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Satwari Cantt Cricket Club was bundled out for 122 runs in 18.3 overs. Vishal scored 47 runs of 25 balls with 4 boundaries and two sixes. Raghav and Mohit took 3 wickets each for YCC, while Munish bagged 2. Abhishek and Ritesh also took a wicket each. Mukul of Young Cricket Club was declared man of match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Vijay Dogra as umpires, while Ajay Sharma was the scorer. Dr Karan Nayyar was the official Physiotherapist.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Jammu Cricket Club will lock horns with Gorkha Cricket Club.
