Boxing C’ship concludes

UDHAMPUR, Mar 20: Two Days Boxing Championship, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Boxing Association (JKABA) concluded at Kendriya Vidyalaya Chenani Campus, here today.
Deputy Commandant of CRPF, Tejinder Kaur was chief guest, who along with other guests presented medals and certificates among winner boxers.
In total, 63 boxers took part in this championship which was organised under the aegis of Boxing Federation of India, J&K Olympic Association and J&K Sports Council.
Vishwamitter, Vishwajeet Singh (coach), Gautam Sharma, Rajneesh, Rohit and Vijender were among technical panel who conducted bouts of the event.
In girls, category (46 kg) Vanshika Choudhary and Sia Manhas stood 1st, and 2nd whereas Diksha Choudhary and Simriti Choudhary shared 3rd place, while in 54 kg, Avantika Bali and Shreya bagged 1st and 2nd positions while Tanisha Katoch and Antra Katoch shared 3rd place and in sub-junior (46 kg), Simran Bali, Rimey and Sakshi clinched top three positions.
In boys sub-junior (34 kg) Virbaz Ali and Akhil Singh stood 1st and 2nd while Pardeep Choudhary and Ajit Kumar jointly clinched 3rd place, whereas in 36 kg, Pranav Chowdhary and Virender Partap secured top two positions while Anil Kumar and Varun Dev Singh shared 3rd position and in 40 kg, Arman Sharma and Amit Chowdhary remained 1st and 2nd while Tarun Singh and Anukalp Gaur shared 3rd position besides in 44 kg, Arun Singh and Manmeet Singh bagged top two places while Rajdev Singh and Karan Singh Bali shared 3rd places while in 46 kg, Pushvinder Singh, Tarun Sharma and Rohit Khajuria bagged top three postions respectively and in 48 kg, Sahil Sharma, and Ayush Kumar stood 1st and 2nd while Anil Kumar and Mohd Akram jointly won 3rd position.
In 49 kg, Aman Sharma and Akashdeep Singh clinched top two positions whereas Gagandeep Singh and Ashok Kumar shared 3rd place, whereas in 56 kg, N Manhas and Sujjal stood 1st and 2nd while Alwaz and Rohit Kumar shared 3rd place besides in 60 kg, Deepak Katoch and Adil Sambyal won top two places while Navish Bharti and Yashvardhan Singh shared 3rd position while in 63 kg, Vishal Sharma and Sahil Sharma remained 1st and 2nd while Ashiq Bali and AAbel shared 3rd place.
In elite senior (57 kg), Ramant and Shubam Sharma bagged top two places while Aryan Sharma and Ankush Thakur shared 3rd place, whereas in 69 kg, Dhanurveer Singh and Narinder Bali remained 1st and 2nd while Sumit Gupta and Vansh Katoch shared 3rd place.
