JAMMU, Mar 23: Dogra College of Education (DCoE) today organized online inter-college essay writing competition on “Water and Climate Change”.
The programme was held under the supervision of Jyoti Raina, Lecturer of Environmental Science wherein students of 25 Colleges including KC College of Education, Chenab College of Education, Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education, Sai Shyam College of Education, Sacred Heart College of Education, Cosmic College of Education, MIER College of Education, Ranjit College of Education and Vimal Muni College of Education participated.
Shivika Thakur, student of Dogra College of Education stood 1st, whereas Surbhi Sharma of MIER College of Education remained 2nd and 3rd prize was clinched by Vaishali Bhat of Sai Shyam College of Education. Certificates of merit were given to Ajay Kumar of KC College of Education and Heenakshi Sharma of Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education.
The main aim of the event was to raise awareness among the students and to take actions advocating the sustainable management of fresh water resources.
Dr Shefali Sharma, Academic Coordinator, Indu Puri Senior Lecturer and Jyoti Raina, Lecturer in EVS of DCoE were judges of the event.
Dr Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal Dogra College of Education appreciated the efforts of participants of various colleges.
