SAMBA, Mar 31: Nari Shakti Sammelan was held at Purmandal in Samba district today under the leadership of Prantparmuk of Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SSDS), Parshotam Dadhichi. Swami Devanand Ji, Dev Raj Ji, Anita Ji, Ashwani Ji, Sonu Ji Maharaj, Shubash Ji with large numbers of Mahillas, Panches, Sarpanches, local leaders, Sant, Mahatmas etc were present on the occasion.
Addressing the Sammelan, Parshotam Dadhichi highlighted the role of Indian women. He said in Hinduism women has been given a great status and she is being worshipped. Her role as mother is supreme and she is embodiment of love and affection, he added.
Dadhichi, while highlighting the role of women gave reference to Jansi Ki Rani, Jijabai the mother of Shaivaji Marhata, Rani Padmavati, Maharani Jaiwanta Bai, great Shiv Yogni Laleshwari of Kashmir, Sarojni Naidu and many others who have made the country to feel proud and are still the inspiration for the people.
He said in modern times also women in no way are less competent than men and they have proved themselves in various fields. He asked women to come forward and contribute in nation building and eradication of social evils also. He said in Indian society the women have played a great role from times immemorial and there are many reference of the same in our sacred religious books.
Local leader, Arun Kumar Sharma, Sarpanch Joginder Pal, Govind Ram, Sarpanch, Anil Kumar, Gopal Krishan, Madan Lal, Ankush Sharma, Balbir Singh, Rakesh Bhagat, Pooja Sharma, Madhu Rani, Bandana and more others spoke on the occasion.
