Srinagar, Apr 1: Police today arrested 20 youth in connection with hooliganism in Badamwari area of Srinagar last week.
Police said that these youth were involved in hooliganism in Badamwari during a musical event that was organised by Tourism Department on March 28.
The musical event witnessed huge gathering of people including very large number of women and children.
A group of youth created ruckus on the stage when the demand of a song from a boy among the audience was not fulfilled immediately by the performing artists.
Police said that a case (FIR No 11/2021) was registered at Police Station Rainawari and during investigation involvement of 20 miscreants was established, who were identified through different videos of the event and the miscreants have been arrested.
Police said that the investigation of the case is underway.
