Sikh bodies demand community member in PSC, LG’s Advisor

JAMMU, Apr 2: Various Sikh organizations today demanded that an Advisor to the Lt Governor in UT of J&K be inducted from their community and a Sikh member should also be appointed in the Public Service Commission (PSC).
A meeting of various Sikh bodies including BKNSS, Shiromani Akali Dal, Youth Akali Dal, Sikh Naujawan Sabha besides former members of DGPC Jammu was held here today under the chairm- anship of Mohinder Singh, chief organizer, BKNSS (J&K), where in the speakers demanded that members from their community be inducted as Advisor to LG and PSC Member.
They also demanded Rs 30 lakh relief package in favour of DPs of PoJK as per the recommendation of JPC, restoration of statehood to J&K and grant of official status to Punjabi language in J&K.
