3 more arrested for firing on contractor’s residence

JAMMU, Apr 15: Three more persons were arrested for firing on the residence of a contractor in Gandhi Nagar on April 3 this year.
As per police sources, moving ahead to arrest the persons involved in firing on the residence of a contractor in Gandhi Nagar, police arrested three more persons, who were identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Honey, son of Baljeet Singh, a resident of Swaran Vihar Gole Gujaral, Deepak Kumar, son of Radhe Sham of New Plot and Surinder Kumar alias Babu, son of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Khour Salaria Ramgarh.
As reported some unknown persons travelling in a car opened fire at the residence of contractor Choudhary Nagar Singh at Gandhi Nagar on April 3 night this year.
In the firing, no one was injured. However, the main gate of the house and a car bearing registration number HP38F-6187 suffered damage. Cartridges were also recovered from in and outside the residence of the contractor.
It is pertinent to mention here that two persons including driver of Superintendent Central Jail Kot Bhawal identified as Kuldeep Kumar, a resident of Tali Morh and Ajay Singh, son of Tirloki Nath were already arrested in this firing case.
Further investigation into the case registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar is going on and hunt is also going on to nab the associates of the arrested persons.
The arrest was made by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Bharat Sharma under the supervision of SDPO South PK Mengi, SP South Deepak Digra and SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli.
