SRINAGAR, June 5: Three persons including two girls consumed poisonous substances at different places in the Valley. Among them one girl died in the hospital, a police statement said today.
A 16-year-old girl today committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her maternal uncle’s home in Kupwara.
It said the girl was shifted to sub-district hospital where she died.
In another suicide attempt a woman, 23, resident of Yaripora, Kulgam, consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for treatment.
Shakeel Ahmad Qureshi, 24, son of Bashir Ahmad of Sugan, Khag, today consumed some poisonous substance at his home. Police said he was shifted to JVC Hospital, Bemina, for treatment.
Police said it has registered cases in these incidents.
