ASHA workers hold conference

Udhampur, June 7: One day conference of ASHA Workers of Majalta Block was held at Vijay Higher Secondary School, Majalta.
ASHA workers of Majalta block participated in the conference which was presided over by Senior Leader of CITU Sham Parsad Kesar.
While addressing the conference Sunita Bhagat, State General Secretary of ASHA Workers Union intimated about the demands and problems which are being faced by ASHA Workers of the State and appealed for unity and struggle. Local leaders also took part in the discussion.
At the end of the conference a block committee was elected unanimously with Kanta Devi President, Bimla Devi Secretary, Anita Gupta Cashier, Bimla vice president, Satya Devi Joint Secretary and Kanta Devi Joint Cashier.
While addressing Kanta Devi urged Government to acceded to all their genuine demands such as recognized of Ashas’ as workers, Rs.10000 as minimum wages, payments on account of Janani Suraksha Yojana, Postnatal checks up, Immunization, Vaccine Carrier, Mobile Charges, Family Planning, Uniform and implementation of Social Security such as gratuity, pension etc.
