DODA, June 9: Friends Cricket Club Ghat today outplayed Zakir Eleven Doda by 28 runs to seal berth in the semifinal of the ongoing All India 9th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2013, being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda at Sports Stadium, here.
Earlier, Friends Cricket Club Ghat won the toss and elected to bat first on a batting friendly strip.
FCC scored a decent target of 185 runs by losing seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Ashish was the main scorer with 72 runs, while Aditya contributed 55 runs to the total. From Zakir Eleven Doda, Maaz was the most successful bowler who claimed 3 wickets, while Abid Nabi took 2 wickets.
In reply, Zakir Eleven Doda could not chase the target and managed to score 157 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets, thus lost the match by 28 runs. Ikram Pathan was the top scorer with 92 runs, while Naveed Javed contributed 25 runs to the total. From Friends Cricket Club Ghat, Aditya and Prashant claimed 2 wickets each. Aditya of Friends Cricket Club Ghat was declared man of the match for his all-round performance and was presented cash prize and trophy by the chief guest, Sanjeev Sharma, Station House Officer (SHO) Doda.
The match was officiated by BCCI Ranji trophy umpire Subash Mathur and Ifroz Rather while Shahid Pampori acted as the scorer.
