UDHAMPUR, June 15: Passing out parade of 5th Basic Recruit Training course of lady constables was held today at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur in which 81 lady constables of Executive /Armed Police passed out.
The said batch underwent 10 months rigorous training which included Handling Law and Order situation, UAC and use of Non-Lethal Weapons. Besides, some selected recruit lady constables were also provided basic commando training to handle difficult situations.
The passing out parade was commanded by Kunzes Dolma of Leh who was assisted w/ct Rekha Devi of Distt Doda. First all round best among the trainees was w/ct Nisha Devi while second and third positions were bagged by Reena Devi and Asmat Jan, respectively. Nazma Bano was declared best in Range classification.
Joint Director of the Academy Parminder Singh, DIG, welcomed the guests and highlighted the various aspects of the training.
Chief guest of the parade was Farooq Khan, IGP, Director S K Police Academy Udhampur, who took the salute of the parade. In his speech, he lauded role of the trainees and the staff for imparting skill full training. The Director also wished all the best to the lady constables for their better future in the police force. The Director emphasized that the present 5th batch of BRTC lady constables is the best one and will prove an asset for the force as well as for the country.
The POP was witnessed by the close relatives of the trainee lady constables, families of the staff member, co-trainees, prominent citizens, officers of district administration and the persons from media fraternity.
