JAMMU, June 8: Dogra Sahayata Kendra (DSK) distributed masks, sanitizers and soaps among the people in Ramban district to create awareness amongst them about the SOPs to be followed for prevention of spread of COVID-19.
This was disclosed by Thakur Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and Chairman, Dogra Sahayata Kendra in a statement issued today, after interacting with the members of the Ramban unit along with Trustees of Laxmi Narain Mandir Gandhi Nagar and members of the Coordination Committee of Dogra Sahayata Kendra.
He said that though the situation in Ramban seems to be improving it was important to create awareness amongst the masses, especially in the far flung areas, that to fight the epidemic, and remain safe, it was essential to follow the SOPs as envisaged by the Government i.e. following lockdown guidelines strictly, wearing masks, maintaining 6 ft. distance from one another and to wash and sanitize our hands whenever we return home after going outside for some work.
Charak also impressed upon the representatives from Ramban that they need to remain in touch with DSK Jammu for any help or assistance required by any COVID-19 patient who is referred by the health authorities to Government Medical College, as the DSK has made arrangements to provide packed food for such patients or their attendants, besides Ambulance services within the Municipal limits of Jammu.
