JAMMU, June 9: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested a trucker along with 52 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AD-2681.
During frisking, police team recovered 52 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested the trucker, who was identified as Mandeep Singh, son of late Puran Singh, a resident of Avtal, Tehsil Ramgarh, District Samba.
A case under FIR Number 98/2021 under Section 8/15/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Devinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
