Traffic remains suspended for 7 hrs on NH

RAMBAN, June 11:The vehicular traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was suspended for about seven hours today due to land slides in Ramban area.
Official sources said that landslides took place in Seri area of Ramban at around 7 am today. The highway widening work was in progress at the site. With this, the movement of traffic on this busy highway came to halt.
The men and machinery of the NHAI and contractors launched clearance operation and the highway could be cleared at around 2.20 pm. A long traffic jam was witnessed in Ramban, Chanderkote, Nashri area for 2-3 hours as initially one-way road was restored.
