JAMMU, June 18: The children Summer Camp organised by Station Headquarters, Kaluchak, under the aegis of Tiger Division concluded today, in which around 80 children of the station took part.
The aim of the Camp was to provide the children an opportunity to inculcate healthy habits and to encourage them to pursue various activities of their choice in life. As part of the programme, classes on drawing, painting, music and dance were conducted under the guidance and supervision of experts in respective fields. Children were also taught the basics of swimming.
The highlight of the Camp was an Industrial Tour to various manufacturing units, in and around Jammu, with which the children were closely associated. Children were taken to the bottling plants of major beverage companies, stationary factory and a biscuit making factory. The Children also get an opportunity to visit heritage sites and other places of interest in Jammu.
A painting competition on the theme “Green Environment, Clean Environment” was also organised, in which tiny tots participated.
On the concluding day today, Brigadier NS Khroud, Station Commander, Kaluchak Military Station and Inderjit Kaur, Chairperson FWO, Tiger Artillery Brigade were the chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson, FWO assured them that such activities which help in developing the overall personality of an individual, would be organised in future too.
