ADKUF reiterates one place settlement demand in Valley

JAMMU, June 15: A meeting of the All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) was held under the chairman of D N Kissu in which it reiterated its stand on rehabilitation of Pandits at a single place in Kashmir Valley.
The meeting said settling Pandits at a single place in Valley is the only solution to stop killings and key to return of peace in Kashmir.
Forum appealed the Government to immediately allot quarters to the migrant employees in a proper way and construct more quarters to accommodate every employee living as tenant out side migrant accommodation. It expressed anguish over slow vaccination rate of +18 age group in Jammu as slots are not available due to very less number of vaccination centres established for the purpose.
Forum appealed the Government to enhance the speed of vaccination to save precious lives. It urged Government to restore DA and DR to pensioners and employees in view of all time high prices of essential commodities due to inflation. At the same time Forum appealed for restoration of Government ration supply to all migrant APL ration card holders at par with Kashmir Valley consumers since Government ration is stopped to some said migrants for the past more than four years which is yet another discrimination a blatant violation of fundamental rights of citizens.
Forum requested the Municipal Council Jammu to sanitise all left out areas particularly Durganagar and adjoining colonies during weekend lockdowns.
It expressed concern over Power and water supply crisis and said the power cuts have added the woes  of consumers In Durganagar.
It alleged that electrical gadgets of many consumers have been damaged due to flickering voltage.
