Kathua, June 15: In order to prevent the trade of consumption and production of illicit liquor in the district a police team led by Inspector, Rajesh Kumar incharge Police Post (PP), Nagri under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar during patrolling and naka checking duty near Saidpura Toll Naka , intercepted one scooty bearing Registration Number JK08D-3038.
During checking, 12 bottles of Imperial Blue (illicit liquor ) was recovered from the possession of accused namely Bhag Hussain, son of Shah Din of Chak Desa Singh, tehsil and district Kathua. All the recovered bottles of illicit liquor along with scooty was seized and person was arrested.
In this regard, a case FIR No 287/2021 U/S 50 Excise Act, 188/IPC stands registered at PS Kathua and investigation taken up.
