JAMMU, June 19: Two persons including a girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves in two different incidents.
As per reports, 21-year-old Diksha, daughter of Joginder Sharma, resident of Jewel allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence.
Noticing her hanging, family members shifted her to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared her as brought dead.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after completion of legal formalities.
A case under Section 174 of CrPC has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
Meanwhile, a migrant labourer identified as Rajpal, son of Raghu Raj, hailing from Madhya Pradesh also committed suicide by hanging himself at his rented accommodation at Roop Nagar.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
A case has been registered and investigation started.
