RAMBAN, June 21: Minister of State for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Ajaz Ahmed Khan announced a sports field and a community hall at village Dharam and for this also announced release of Rs 10 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Addressing a public meeting, Minister also announced Rs 5 lakh each for the panchayats of Kali Masta and Bhim Dassa. He also assured the people that he would take up recruitment of local youth in Railways with the Railway authorities.
Ajaz said more revenue villages would be added to Gool area making the final tally from current 18 to 33 villages. He also assured setting up of food store in the area and for this he would contribute from his CDF.
Responding to other local demands, Ajaz directed the officers of executing agencies including PWD, Railways, BRO to pay the pending compensation pertaining to land/structures to the affected families and land owners without further delay. He also directed that the construction of roads under PMGSY will be completed within stipulated time period.
Later, various deputations met the Minister and brought into his notice several of their demands including Nayabat at Dharam, a high school and up-gradation of a local health centre. He issued on the spot directions to the concerned officers for redressal of their demands.
Senior officers of district administration were present on the occasion.
Earlier, Minister had inaugurated the camp office of DC office Ramban at Gool. The Camp Office will function once in a week (Saturday) for Revenue related Certificates and services coming under the ambit of Public Services Guarantee Act and land compensation disbursement, besides redressal of grievances and general demands of the people.
