JAMMU, June 27: Akhnoor police today arrested a man and rescued two bovine animals, which he was smuggling to Rajouri.
According to police sources, a team of police station Akhnoor during routine naka checking at Tanda intercepted one Mahindra load carrier vehicle bearing Registration Number JK11A-2473 and on checking, found two bovines loaded in it.
As the driver of the vehicle namely Parvez Ahmed son of Mohd Shabir of Rajouri failed to produce any permission letter to transport the bovines, he was arrested and the bovines loaded in his vehicle rescued.
A case in this connection was registered at police station Akhnoor and further investigation started.
