BHADERWAH, June 23: To promote peace, prosperity and solidarity, a ‘Peace Run’, was organized by Rashtriya Rifles located at Bhaderwah, under the aegis of the Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) at Bhaderwah.
As part of the ongoing process of winning hearts and minds of the people, the event is a step towards propagating peace, harmony and integration of the masses.
The run was flagged off by Sharief Niyaz, MLA Bhaderwah and Naresh Kumar Gupta, MLC Bhaderwah at 8 am from New Bus Stand, Kotli, here. The 9 kilometers route selected for the event included New Bus Stand, Domel, Chakka, Pasri Adda, Seri Bazar, Sub Divisional Hospital and Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Bhaderwah.
A total of 150 athletes participated in the event and spread a message of peace, harmony and integration.
Those who took first six positions were felicitated by the dignitaries on the occasion.
