*Jagti United, Knights FC crush opponents in Football

JAMMU, July 5: Butchering the rival bowlers with power and punch Vishal Bhat blossomed to score power-packed 82 runs off just 30 balls, studded with 8 fours and 7 sixes to help Satan Homeland Cricket Club register a massive 98 runs win over Eleven Stars in Cricket, while Jagti United FC and Knights Football Club crushed their opponents in the ongoing PK’s annual sports extravaganza, being held at Jagti, near here.
The slogan of the event is “play to say no to drugs, other social evils”. The event is being sponsored by Lava International and Youth of GSB Worldwide.
Earlier, in Cricket, winning the toss and batting first, Satan Homeland Cricket Club scored a mammoth total of 247 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Playing with fluidity and grace, Vishal Bhat sent the bowlers on a leather-hunt to top score with quick-fire 82 runs, while Shivam, Suman and Manoj contributed 41, 28 and 26 runs to the total respectively. For Eleven Stars CC, Ashu, Nitesh, Ashish, Pankaj and Nikhil claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Eleven Stars CC bundled out for 149 runs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 98 runs. Nikhil top scored with unbeaten 49 runs, while Ashu contributed 22 runs to the total. For Satan Homeland CC, skipper Sushil Pandita and Sagar bagged 2 wickets each while Ajay and Rajan claimed 1 wicket each. For his extraordinary batting display, Vishal Bhat was adjudged as the man of the match.
Meanwhile, in Football, Jagti United FC and Knights FC thrashed their rivals by resounding margins to sail into the next round.
In the first match, Knights FC thrashed Homeland FC in a one-sided affair by nine goals to one (9-1). For Knights FC, Avinash Bhat pelted 3 superb goals, Sahil Bhat and Rahul Tickoo scored 2 goals each, while Suraj Tickoo and Karan Koul netted 1 goal each. Akshit was the lone scorer from Homeland FC.
In another Football match, Jagti United thrashed Jagti FC by 11 goals to two (11-2). For Jagti United FC, Piyush showed marvellous soccer skills to score 4 goals, while Dheeraj, Vishal and Surya netted 2 goals each and Ayush scored one. Ashish scored both the goals for Jagti FC. Abhay and Sumit of Jagti United were shown yellow cards for foul play.
The Football matches were officiated by Praduman, Abhay Bhat, Vishal and Rahul, while the Cricket match was officiated by Vijay Raina, Yogesh and Sandeep.
