SRINAGAR, June 24: Three boys drowned at different places in the valley today, police said.
A man, Suhail Ahmad Najar, 25, son of Mohammad Yousuf of Nishat Srinagar was drowned in river Lidder in district Anantnag. Later his body was fished out at Sadow Padao, Pahalgam, police said.
In Baramulla district, a boy Shahid Ahmad Waza, 7, son of Manzoor Ahmad of Baliharan, Mirgund, was drowned in Sukh canal at Baliharan. His body has not been traced till this report was filed.
In another incident, Sajad Ahmad Bhat, 16, son of Abdul Rehman of Bugroo, Khansahib, drowned while taking bath in an irrigation canal near Doniwara stop, Budgam. Police said his body has been fished out from the canal, police said.
