JAMMU, June 24: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dodhpathri Development Authority (DDA) was among three were booked by State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) for misappropriate of funds.
An official spokesman said that, Abdul Rashid Shah, the then Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dodhpathri Development Authority, Mohammad Dilawar Malik, then Range Officer and incharge Dodhpathri and Ghulam Rasool Lone, Forest Officer, Block Raithan and Supervisory Officer Dodhpathri were booked by the State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) for misappropriation of amount to the tune of Rs 10 lakh.
He said that the trio misappropriated an amount of Rs 10 lakh on account of hiring of Sumo vehicles for conducting inspection of works, purchase of plant material (house chest nuts), purchase and fixing of flex film based computerized hoardings, construction of view points, tapping of springs and construction of parking places at Dodhpathri, which resulted in corresponding loss to the State exchequer.
After verification, the role of trio in the misappropriation came to the fore and accordingly SVO registered a case under FIR number 11/13 under Sections 5(1) (d), 5(2) J&K PC Act 2006 r/w Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC against them and investigation started, he added.
